A Thursday Vibe
I wrote in my journal about Chance The Rapper about a month ago, and with all honesty, I hesitated on clicking Save & Post. Shall your brain ask why? Well, hmm, I felt like I couldn’t explain how much his music changed my whole vibe. Let I say loud and clear, he changed my entire energy. His music fuels me. For instance, No Problem feat. 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne. Literally it makes me wanna run out of my seat and run a whole marathon without stopping. Now, does that explain my excitement? For those of you that don’t know, OH I Love Hip Hop. I love music in general. I can give you a list of artist that give me life. But, Chance The Rapper, (hands on the hips) personally right now in this exact point in my life gives me life.
I think he is a perfect example of an artist that stays true to his authenticity. He’s different, it is evident and clear in his music videos, and in his lyrics. Chance carries self ownership of who is he, and where he comes from. He then takes all that and expresses himself for the world to hear. Which then creates people to flock to his music because we find our own truth from his lyrics. I know I am a witness.
